Obituary

WEregret to record the deaths of Mr. T. L. Davies, Mr. A. C. Smyth and Mr. J. Whitehead.

Mr. Davies was chief financial officer and a member of the board of management, British Transport Docks. Formerly he was accounts officer (Reigate) with the London Passenger Transport Board, having previously been secretary and accountant of the East Surrey Traction Co., Ltd., Reigate, and Autocar Services, Ltd., Tunbridge Wells.

Mr. Smyth was London area sales manager for Bonallack and Sons, Ltd.. with whom he had served for 20 years.

Mr. Whitehead,-who was 56, was joint deputy managing director of the David Brown Corporation.

T.R.T.A. ELECTIONS TN the London and Home Counties

Division of the T.R.T.A., Mr. H. C. Chandler has been re-elected chairman, and Mr. G. F. Page, Mr. D. H. Joyce and Mr. E.G. Dutfield vice-chairmen.

In Yorkshire (West Riding) Division the chairman is Mr. R. E. Clough and vicechairmen are Mr. H. Bradley, Mr. J. V. Braithwaite and Mr. E. Chamberlain. In the Hull and West Riding Division, Mr. F. E. Hilton has been elected chairman and Mr. H. W. Stark and Mr. H. Clayton vicechairmen.

Mr. B. T. Bennett has been elected chairman of the Western Division; Mr. C. J. Horsley and Mr. J. E. Artus are vicechairmen, In the Northern Division, Mr. S. S. Robson is chairman for the 18th successive year; vice-chairmen are Mr. R. Ryan and Mr. J. A. C. Thwaites.

In the South Wales Division Mr. J. 1. Plenty has been elected chairman, and Mr. S M. Kendal vice-chairman.
