• NFC Contract Distribution has ordered a new trailer fleet for its dedicated Black & Decker delivery service.
Twenty 12.2m box trailers will be in use around the clock on the £3 million nationwide contract. They feature rear barn doors and 0.6m kick strips to cope with forklift loading. Seven tractor units will also service the contract.
"We are operating in a highly seasonal and volatile market," says Black & Decker's Ian Bax. "We need to be able to call on additional trailers as necessary and may need up to 10 or 20 more trailers as demand increases."
