Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

about instituting a transport manager's licence but all this has died down. What is the latest position now? Is a licence to be introduced in the near future?

A There is no likelihood at all of a statutory

TML being introduced in the foreseeable future. The Minister has said that he has decided not to introduce a Government-run scheme and he turned down the TM L Committee's request for a Government loan of £50,000 to help launch a voluntary scheme although he welcomed the idea of a voluntary scheme organized by the industry (CM July 16).

The TM L Committee is known to be searching for finance and support to set up the voluntary scheme but whether this will be forthcoming is not expected to be known for some time.
