Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DOSSIBLY the first double-decker of conven tional half-cab design to employ a peaked roof fore and aft is a new Guy Arab Mark V demonstrator with Strachans 72-seat body, recently completed at the Hamble works of this coachbuilder. The body is mounted to an 18-ft. 6-in.-wheelbase chassis, and is 30 ft, long by 8 ft. 1 in. wide.

The structure and finish are largely based on the standard Strachans steel-framed double-deck body (see The Commercial Motor, September 13, 1963) and this is the first bus of the new design to employ a forward entrance. A power-operated sliding door is fitted, with a minimum entrance width of 3 ft. 8 in. and one-step access to the lower saloon floor. A most interesting feature of the design is the elimination of the normal radius at the rear corners of the body, and the consequential glazing of the rear lower-deck bay, resulting in a striking, if rather unusual, appear
