1-1, A MOBILE printing unit, incorpora
ting twti Leyland articulated eightwheelers, has been built for the proprietors of The Times to ensure continuity of publication in the event of an emergency The heavy vehicles carry generating plant and printing machinery, and copies can be produced at the rate of 12,000 an hour.
There are also four utility vehicles. each equipped with radio, for the staff. The unit can be set in operation by six men in two hours. The vehicles are on show at the British Industries Fair, Olympia.
