HG Allen and Son

HG ALLEN AND Son has been granted authorisation for two vehicles at its site in Folly House, Kiteye Farm, Ninield Road, Bexhill-On-Sea subject to the following conditions: • authorised vehicles shall be rigid in type only, with no artics; • the vehicles shall enter on to and exit from the public highway Ninield Road in forward gear at all times; • trucks shall normally enter and exit the operating centre between the following times: Monday Friday 5am-9pm; Saturday 9am-6pm; Sunday 10am-4pm; • allowances can be made for exceptional circumstances and emergency work beyond the control of the operator that could not have been planned or foreseen. During such work, authorised vehicles can enter and exit the yard outside of the speciied times; • HG Allen and Son will make sure that loose chippings from the private access road are not transferred onto the public highway.

Wamsley haulage

WAMSLEY Haulage has been given permission to base three vehicles and the same number of trailers at the Aggregate Industries site in Grovebury Road, Leighton Buzzard, as well as two vehicles and two trailers at Whaddon Farm in Slapton, Leighton Buzzard.

Conditions and undertakings attached to the licence include: • the haulier will provide original inancial evidence to VOSA in the limited company name covering April 2012, by the end of May 2012. This must show that Wamsley Haulage has continued to meet the required level of inancial standing throughout the period.

• all authorised vehicles will have rolling road brake and headlamp aim tests no less than three times per year. The records of this will be retained for 15 months or longer.

Arcese UK

ARCESE UK has been given the green light for 20 vehicles and 10 trailers at a new operating centre in Eldon Way on the Crick Industrial Estate, Northampton.

Eddie Stobart

EDDIE STOBART wants to base 135 vehicles and 145 trailers at the Solar site in Hunter Boulevard, Magna Park, Lutterworth.

Magnus Transport

MAGNUS TRANSPORT hopes to base 20 vehicles and trailers at the Coach Depot in Hadleigh, Ipswich.

FORTHCOMING PUBLIC INQUIRIES Eastern and South Eastern Traffic Areas Eastbourne

• A PI on 8 March will look at an application from Senatrans, based in London.

• On 5 March, a PI will look at disciplinary action against KB Haulage, based in Croydon. The transport manager’s repute will also be considered, along with a variation application.

• The TC will look at a new application from Smith 4 Transport, based in Gravesend, at a hearing on 14 March.

Cambridge

• A PI on 7 March will look at disciplinary action against Atwal Transport, based in Leicester. The TC will also look at the repute of the transport manager at the business.

• Kettering-based David Laurence Butlin, trading as Butlins Transport, will attend a PI on 8 March. Disciplinary action, a variation application and the transport manager’s repute will all be discussed.

• Suffolk Transport, based in Ipswich, will appear before the TC at a PI on 12 March. Disciplinary action and the transport manager’s repute will be looked at.
