CUMMINS. Engine Co thE American side of the diese engine company, has signed an "interim agreement" with Ford to develop a lightweighl turbocharged diesel engin( suitable for use in cars anc light commercial vehicles.
A final agreement should b■ signed later this year. The en gine will be of an advance( design incorporating feature! used on Cummins' larger en gines.
