ERF MANAGING director Peter Foden has approached Crewe Labour MP Gwynneth Dunwoody in an effort to get more support for the lobby for Increased vehicle weights.
And support for the heavy lorry came from an unexpected quarter this week when the Medway Towns Chamber of Commerce announced its backing for the lobby.
Medway Towns include Chatham, Rochester, Maidstone and Strood and they lie on the edge of the A2(M) and the M20 Folkestone and Dover to London roads,
