MT Robinson is a lecturer at Gatesheac Technical College, while the consultanl editor is J. W. Nicholls, head of the Motor Vehicle Trades Department of the college. The book is mainly intended as a reference text-book catering for apprentices new to the trade who are studying for the City and Guilds of London Institute courses, and for the more mature tradesman who is concerned to keep himself informed of new developments.
Resistance welding techniques and repairs of plastics bodies are dealt with in detail as well as those used in soldering, brazing, gas welding, metallic-arc welding and welding by inert gas. Panel beating with hand tools and with portable hydraulic equipment is also included in the subjects covered and there is a section on procedures in coping with insurance claims. P.B.
