Another " First"
ON page 647 of this issue is published the first of a completely new and unique series of tests, relating solely to the performance of semitrailers. Until now The Commercial Motor, in common with other journals, has road tested articulated units as a whole. It has become increasingly apparent, however, that there is an additional need for comparative testing of semi-trailers regardless of which tractive unit happens to have been attached to them for a particular road test.
This journal, as in the past, will continue to publish road tests of complete articulated units; but, in addition, operators will in future be able to compare semi-trailers separately by means of this new feature— another " first from The Commercial Motor.
