ON BEHALF OF Driver Hire Nationwide. I'm writing to give our support to your Driver CPC campaign (CM 17 June). We think it is a great initiative — promoting the professionalism of good drivers and helping to raise standards across the industry.
This legislation has the right aims and is welcomed and approved, which makes implementation even more important. We agree that proper vetting and ensuring that high training standards are maintained is key. To date, we've trained over 1500 drivers — our own and many of our clients.
The feedback we've received is positive, with experienced drivers agreeing that attending a Driver CPC course is helping them do a better job.
We hope that your campaign is a success So let's work together as an industry to ensure that teething troubles do not derail what is an excellent project. Chris Chidley
