Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

QO that their road tankers may be sign

written in the names of concerns to which they are hired, even, for short periods. A. S. Jones and Co., Ltd., Liverpool, S. have devised a simple method of .fitting readily detachable lettered panels to them.

Although. the system, which was developed by Mr. K. Jones, the service manager of the company, has been applied only to road tankers at present, it could obviously be used for any type of vehicle. Tanks fitted to the Jones

vehicles are sign-written in the first place in their own name.

Whena change of livery is required for the vehicle, J-type mouldings are fitted to the sides and dome of the tank just above the original writing, and toggle fasteners are attached to the tank below the lettering.

The additional curved side panels hook on to the top mouldings and are secured at the bottom by the toggle fasteners, which are provided with safety catches to prevent them from being tampered with or coming loose. The dished rear panel is attached similarly.

All the fittings are standardized so that panels can be interchanged between one vehicle and another. Thus, a change of livery can be made in about five minutes. A set of panels has just been completed for Van Den Berghs and Jurgens, Ltd. In this case, the complete rear dome and the headboard are covered with yellow Szatchlite reflective material on which the blue lettering is imposed to make an impressive contrast.

After dark, headlamps of approaching and overtaking vehicles light up the panels to provide a striking advertisement, and an effective indication and warning of the size of the vehicle being encountered.
