Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Those who are interested in the development of the road roller to meet the requirements of modern road, construction will find much of interest in the Advance type shown here. This roller has a flexible rear axle, permitting the rear rolls to adjust themselves to road camber, a front fork which may be locked .horizontally if required, and a remarkably rapid

reverse which prevents " dwell." Further details mid an illustration will be found elsewhere in the issue.

The other machine is a 7 n.h.p. general-purpose traction engine with two speeds, differential gear on rear axle, winding drum with. 50 yds. of wire rope and the usual type of band brake.
