Clayton Wagons, Ltd.; show on this, stand a 5-ton electric vehicle and a 6-ton undertype steamer. The former is of the well...known type, with single motor, driving a differential cross-shaft by a single reduction gear, the final transmission being by a pair of roller chains. It is shown equipped with an end-tipping gear, which is operated by an electric motor, as a street watering wagon with 1,000-gallon tank, and sprinkling apparatus. The stea.m wagon is also a standard production, and, like the electric, is equipped with end-tipping gear, this time, however, of the Bromilow and Edwards hydraulic type.
The other exhibits are by Clayton and Shuttleworth, and include a 7 n.h.p. single-cylinder traction engine and a 10-ton roller, also with single-cylinder engine.
