A new year dawns, and a new Ford Fiesta Van will be arriving at dealerships soon. Making a surprise appearance at 2008's Hannover show, it is based on the latest Fiesta car and looks to pack all of the appeal of the outgoing model and then some.
Fuel economy is unlikely to be an issue. Both diesels are believed to offer just over 67mpg on the combined cycle, with Ca,emissions set at 110g/km. Standard features include electric power steering and ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution. A half-height bulkhead forms part of the deal, too, as do driver and passenger airbags.
Further additions include Ford's EasyFuel capless refuelling system, designed to stop the wrong fuel being put in the tank.
Trawl down the options list and you'll spot a knee airbag to protect the driver, which really ought to be included in the basic price.
