• Western SMT Co Ltd, Kilmarnock, has • been granted permission to take over the operation of a number of bus services run by David MacBrayne Ltd, in the West of Scotland.
The routes are the express services between Ardrishaig and Lochgilphead and Ardrishaig and Oban and the stage service between Oban and Ardrishaig.
The Traffic Commissioners, sitting in Glasgow under the chairmanship of Mr A. B. Birnie, also granted permission to Highland Omnibuses Ltd, Inverness, to take over the operation of a number of services operated by MacBrayne, and W. Alexander (Midland) Ltd, centred on Oban.
