The things that make people choose one coach operator rather than another are not too difficult to list. The comfort and quality of the ride, the appearance of the vehicles, inside and out, the efficiency of your organisation, these are some of the things which impress.

Each of these vehicles—the Leopard, the Reliance and the Bristol RE, has specific advantages for certain types of operation. Only the performance is standard. And that is first class.

The 'Leopard' was designed to offer speed and power with maximum economy. It achieves its objective by nature of the powerful horizontal Leyland 68o 150 b.h.p. diesel engine tuned for economy, with a choice of fully or semiautomatic

gearp. boxes. An optional two-speed

axle provides eight forward speeds, combining high speed with exceptional hill climbing ability. Ideal performance for long distance touring.

The leaf spring suspension provides smooth riding under all conditions of road and load, and the dual line brake system provides powerful anti-fade braking to cope with modern speeds.

The Reliance is available with a variety of wheelbases to take body lengths of io, ii and 12 metres.

The engineering specifications offer a choice of engines and transmissions — engines may be the

Al-15o5 with a capacity of 5o2in3 or the 690in3 AH691, coupled to manual or semi-automatic transmissions.

The revised wheelbases of the Reliance comply with the conditions specified for the bus grant, when suitably bodied for stage operation. The Bristol RE Coach chassis, because of its versatility and reliability, has established itself as one of Britain's leading horizontal rear engine passenger chassis.

The latest version offers the Leyland 680 6-cylinder engine or, alternatively, the Gardner 6HLX type 6-cylinder engine with Bristol Self Changing Gears epicyclic semiautomatic four or five speed gearbox. Suspension is semi-elliptic leaf springs with air as an alternative and the vehicle is fitted with dual circuit air brakes.
