• Detailed surveys of the transport needs of people living in two rural areas of England are to be part of the pilot study first announced in October by the Department of the Environment. The surveys will be carried out in January and February 1971 by the British Market Research Bureau in a number of villages in Devon and West Suffolk. The villages have been selected by the counties' steering groups.
