• The ninth annual Historic Transport Pageant and Vehicle Parade will take place in Leicester on Sunday 19 May More than 1,500 vintage vehicles will set off at 10:00hrs on the 14-mile trip from Leicester Racecourse to Abbey Park.

Bodywork show
• More than 120 companies including many of the major tyre and bodywork manufacturers are to exhibit at the SMMT Commercial Vehicle and Bodywork Show on 27-29 February at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre.

• The second JAMA-CLEPA business conference to develop ties between Japanese motor vehicle manufacturers and European automotive component manufacturers will be held in Berlin on 29-30 May at the Internationales Congress Centrum (ICC). The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) and the Liaison Committee of the European Automotive Components and Equipment Industry (CLEPA) have been working together on the project, which is supported by the European Commission and the Government of Japan.
