It’s the fourth time Actros has won IToY. It first triumphed in 1997, soon after its debut. Then the second-generation Actros drove off with it again in 2004. In 2009 it was the third generation’s turn and now the all-new Actros is the latest champion. IToY chairman Gianenrico Griffini says: “Mercedes-Benz has delivered a new heavy-duty truck that’s both revolutionary and evolutionary and one which, above all else, has demonstrably ‘raised the bar’ in heavy truck efficiency and comfort.” And CM, as the UK Jury member for IToY, agrees wholeheartedly with that.
