Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

SOTHE GREAT M42 trial kicks in and all HGVs for three miles have to stay in the inside lane and not overtake, According to the flighways Agency, this will reduce congestion and cause traffic to flow better. Predictably the hauliers, led by the. ETA and the RI /Very that the whole exercise is a waste of time and forecast chaos,They say that the trucks aren't the problem and that hauliers need the freedom to move. Moreover, they argue, it's an interference with the economy of the country Meanwhile, over on the A14, at 8.110pm on Wednesday lb November.two of this country's finest driyers.trucking for two national distribution chains, showed why the M42 trial is likely to become a normal feature of every two-lane main road in the country. They proceeded to demonstrate their intelligence over 171/2 miles of dual carriageway. It was a case in point of what happens when two HGVs run side by side on a dual carriageway, with neither giving an inch.

Thanks a million, boys. You have to wonder if anyone in authority had the pleasure of witnessing driving professionalism at its best.

Presumably the industry can now officially substitute professionalism for a knee-jerk response. in all this fuss over the N142. I wonder how many haulage operators actually sat their drivers down before the trial started and asked them to behave professionally and let other professional drivers successfully overtake while out on the road.

That way the industry could legitimately argue the ban was an affront to sensibilities and was unnecessary, unwarranted and dangerous.
