Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

3 oing, going, almost gone...The British Army is selling the last few of its once-vast fleet of Bedford MK series trucks at an MOD auction on 13 December.

About 350 MKs will be on sale, along with Mjs, the turbo-diesel version. Lots of spare parts will also come under the hanuner; not too harshly I hope. Most of the vehicles are designated "out of service" and come to the sale directly from the units in which they served_ One thinks of elephants going to their burial grounds. No doubt a few tippermen, rag 'n' bone men and the like will be able to find some use for these old warriors. After more than 30 years of faithful service the MK deserves a good home: 70,000 were built between 1961 and 1990. The sale takes place at the MOD (PE) Stores at Aston Down, on the A419 near Stroud. Contact 061-2239179.
