Specially adapted with hydrant dispensing equipment, the vehicles draw fuel from underground tanks and feed it to the aircraft via a filtration and metering system.
The 0811s feature Allison automatic transmissions and Rockwell rear axles to make driving easier in busy airfield conditions. The chassis were engineered by Special Vehicle Operations at Langley.
