Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The new national clerk of the course, Denis Teer, carries on a family tradition. He succeeded his father, Ted, in his job as road safety officer of Cadbury Schweppes as well as in the capacity of clerk of the course.

Ted filled that office with distinction before handing over to Gordon Asbury, and has been generous enough to say that Gordon introduced a new professional quality into the conduct of the final. That is no more than the truth, but he was greatly aided by the resources of, the Road Transport Industry Transport Board for which he works.

Unfortunately for the competition, he has been transferred to a different division of the board and no longer has the previous facilities at his disposal. Nevertheless, he has left a handsome legacy to his successor, who will not have to devise new tests for some years.

Denis has four vital qualities for the job. He knows it inside Out, he is enthusiastic and amiable, and at a towering 6ft 7in he can be seen from almost any part of the Cranfield estate. That should ease the pressure on the public-address system.
