Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I was rather disappointed that the speculative item on lveco GB (see CM, November 17) included reference to my move from Fiat and inferred that this could have a connection with possible moves to amalgamate staff within "any British lveco organisation".

Nothing could be further from the truth. I joined Fiat in 1973 just before the company started to import lorries and tremendously enjoyed the challenge of helping establish the make in the UK. I decided to leave the company some time ago to set up a consultancy company with a former colleague at Fiat to make fuller use of our experience.

There were no plans at the time for joining lveco companies and this certainly could not have encouraged my decision anyway, as I would have enjoyed working with (or for) Frank Tinsdale who I have known for almost 20 years.
