3ENERAL MANAGER at City of Dxford Motor Services, John Bodger, has moved to become -egional executive for the Vlidlands and West region of the Vational Bus Company.

Mr Bodger started his career vith Midland Red in 1957 as a nanagement trainee before noving to Southdown and then East Kent where he became raffic manager in 1970.

In his new post he will be responsible for marketing and customer relations, rates, budgeting and development for the 19-vehicle fleet based in Birkenhead .

David Sunderland, who joined Lancashire Trucks 12 months ago. as general manager, has been appointed managing director of the company. Mr Sunderland has since introduced and appointed John Hartley as sales manager. Mr Hartley takes over from Jim Mather who has left to take up a directorship with Wrengate Leasing.

New manager at Don International's Glasgow depot is Kenneth Elliot who joined the company in May this year. He succeeds Peter McGovern and will be assisted by Russel Pollock who has been with Don for 25 years.

Kate Mortimer has been appointed a part-time board member of the National Bus Company. Miss Mortimer is an investment adviser at Rothschild's Bank, and is only the second woman to join the board of a state industry.
