3RITAIN is to adopt European ules on the Competence of orry drivers and some bus irivers.
Transport Secretary William Rodgers told MPs that te proposes to lay before Pariament shortly that part of i'EC directive 76-914 which ^elates to the minimum level of :rading and the Certificate of Professional Competence of some drivers of passenger vehicles with more than nine seats overall used on international journeys and more than 15 seats overall used on journeys wholly within the UK.
