• A 32-tonne version of the AWD TL is not dead but has been put on ice until the market recovers.
AWD managing director Michael Sanderson told CM last year that the company planned to launch a 38-tonne TL, using the 198kW (265hp) Cummins engine, some time in the first quarter of 1991.
Sanderson said then that a top-weight tractor was part of AWD's long-term plans for its product range, although he ruled Out a 38-tonne version of the old Bedford TM cab.
