A NEW Schenck eddy currer dynamometer and test contri system has been installed t Vauxhall Motors in their engin test laboratory. It is claimed th will aid engine developmedt an help achieve increased pawl output while lessening fuel col sumption, noise and smol emissions.
Schenck UK was asked to di ,sign and construct a test conso to house a complete set of di velopment test instrumentatioi suitable for conversion to con puter operation, within a sme noise-proof control room.
Schenck and Vauxhall eng neers produced a basic desig for operational assessment, or modifications were then inco porated. The entire unit, inclui ing specialised proprietaT equipment (such as fuel be ances, smoke meters, etc} WE constructed in Schenck's Briti5. workshops.
