Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A TRAILER axle capable of accepting Alcoa's lightweight aluminium alloy wheel is now offered by Rubery Owen-Rockwell Ltd. The axle has longer wheel studs and deeper hub spigots to accommodate the thicker naves of the alloy wheels.

Apart from the weight saving compared with conventional steel wheels (around 25.4kg (56 lb) a wheel, a further claimed advantage of these American rims is improved tyre life resulting from "True” running: the al loy wheels are machine-finished on every surface.

The new axle, designated TM/T 22510/SMX(A), is available either as original equipment or as a retrofit kit for conversion of trialers already in service. The retail price of the kit is £280 and they are available from ROR's parts and accessories division at Warrington.
