Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Rubber-edged steel wings in sizes to fit most makes of commercial vehicles are being marketed in the UK by Hatcher. Made from 1.5mm sheet steel, the wings have moulded rubber 6in.-wide "skirts" bonded to the outer edge. The main advantage claimed for these wings, which are extensively used in Scandinavia, is greatly reduced maintenance. The rubber section acts as a buffer to prevent damage from grazing, scuffing and minor collision.

Although costing more than the traditional all-steel wing, the extra cost of the new wings can be readily recovered, Hatcher claims, as virtually no maintenance is required once they are fitted.

Sizes available ex-stock are: 8.25-20, 9.00-20; 10.00-20 and 11.00-20.

Marketed by: Hatcher (Framlingham) Ltd., Badingham Road, Framlingham, Suffolk.
