Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Unicraft has introduced two large-capacity units at the bottom end of the medium-price range.

Model 911 is the 25ga1 ShopVac which is intended for the rough clean-up work in factories and workshops. The 1+ hp motor has a suction pick-up of 86in. and the 21in. hose allows the pick-up of debris which would clog an average 1 tin. hose. Drum size is 19in. diameter by 31in., weight 45Ib and it is supplied complete with 6ft by 2%in. hose, two 23in. extension tubes, two nozzles and an adaptor.

Model 2211 is the 45ga1 Dual-Vac with two-stage motors which can be used singly or to give a combined pull of 24 hp. This unit is designed for heavyduty cleaning and dust collection and with the use of a Y-joint allows pick up from 2 hoses. Drum size is 23in, diameter by 36in., weight 70Ib. Standard specification includes a 6ft by 24in. hose, four 23in. extension tubes, two nozzles and an adaptor.

In both models all debris bypasses the motors and enters directly into the drum. Both models can be attached to workshop machines for direct dust removal and by transfer of the hose to exhaust can be used for blowing operations. A range of accessories to cover a wide variety of applications is available.

Extinguisher

The Kidde Monnex extinguisher is a small, highly efficient model of lightweight corrosion-resistant construction. It is particularly suitable for Class B and Class C fires and also effective on Class A fires. It embodies many features normally found only in larger, more expensive extinguishers.

Easy maintenance and troublefree operation have been specially catered for. The only maintenance necessary is to check the pressure indicator once every six months. This is in the base of the cylinder and integral with it. It comprises a pointer which shows at a glance whether the cylinder is fully charged or in need of replacement. Recharging the extinguisher takes only a matter of seconds—remove the low cost disposable cylinder and replace with a new one.

A one-piece universal bracket facilitates easy mounting and also incorporates an automatic tamper-proof lock which prevents inadvertent operation.

The extinguisher is charged with Monnex, the new ICI dry chemical fire protection agent, a new chemical compound and not merely a formulation of existing fire-fighting agents. It has been developed to cut down fire damage and offers the enhanced level of performance needed for high risk situations. It is five times as effective as potassium bicarbonate as an extinguishing agent. Made by: The Walter Kidde Co. Ltd., Belvue Road, Northolt, Middx.

Price: £8, refills £4 10s.
