Lyons Ltd., Unilever Ltd., Tayforth Ltd., John Barrie (Contractors) Ltd., and the Scottish CWS are contributing £12,000 over three years for research into the maintenance of large transport fleets through the application of operational research techniques. The project is being carried out at Strathclyde University, Glasgow, and is headed by Professor J. White, head of the University's Department of Operational Research.
