Absentees from this week's CM Fleet Management Conference were two senior executives from a large haulage company who, ringing to apologize for last-minute cancellations, were able to attribute the reason in a way which raised no complaint from us. They explained that they'd just advertised in CM for a transport manager and had been so inundated with applications they'd have to spend the week interviewing.
Sorry you couldn't get to the conference, gentlemen, but thanks for the chance of a nice "plug". Perhaps the new manager will be able to join you at next year's conference?
