Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A large new British Road Services Ltd. depot at Avonmouth. Bristol. incorporating design techniques to give fast handling and movement of goods was opened last week.

The depot covers an 84--acre site in Smoke Lane on the Chittening Industrial Estate, with easy access to the Motorway system on the one hand and adjacent to the West of England Freight Terminal on the other. It is the largest single BRS Ltd. enterprise ever U ndertaken.

Seventy-eight vehicles are based at the depot, operating trunk and tramp movements which serve or link trading and industrial centres throughout the country, a 24-hour service being available to most parts of Britain. The depot also houses a fleet of contract vehicles working exclusively for "contract" customers, painted and lettered in the customer's own livery.

There is extensive modern and fully equipped warehousing accommodation and further development of this service is imminent. A large warehouse on the site with individual offices, and soon to be provided with radio linkage and teleprinter service, is unique in that it was purpose-built for use by a national customer, Kellogg Co. of Great Britain Ltd.

The manager of the new depot is Mr, Ft. P. Slinger, Telephone: Avonmouth 4541/5.
