COLD STORAGE and distribution firm Yearsley Group has retained a contract with Unilever Ice Cream & Frozen Foods ( U I CF) which it gained through the acquisition of collapsed haulier Celsius First earlier this year. Yearsley will provide consolidation and distribution throughout the UK from its Hams Hall site in the Midlands. LUCE says it was impressed with the seamless transition of the con tract following the acquisition of Celsius First
LTICF logistics director Jon Strachan says: "Unilever Ice Cream & Frozen Food is delighted to continue its current transport arrangements in the UK.
However, there is a still something of a question mark hanging over UICF — its parent company has put it up for sale.
