THE ONLY MAJOR road transport show in Europe to escape the recession this year opens its doors tomorrow (Friday). Trailer '09, held in Kortrijk. Belgium, remains open until Tuesday.
Just 60 miles from Calais, the show is always popular with UK operators. Some 102 companies are exhibiting, covering the whole spectrum of trailers and related equipment. A number of chassis manufacturers, including DAF and Volvo, will be represented by the local sales teams.
LHVs, LSTs, aerodynamic trailers and lighter weights are among the topics likely to be prominent. Local manufacturer STAS, based just down the road, will be among those launching new products at the show, and the awards for innovation in trailers and trailer accessories will be revealed.
