LIONEL ROUSE, whose vintage vehicle cards are such a pleasant feature of Ben's Christmas catalogue, this year abandons the traditional crisp white snow and paints the good old slush of art verite'. It serves as a background to a red MG la PB model perhaps?) and a Manx Norton motorcycle.
Those who prefer their snow unsullied can have it with sheep couchant in Cecil J. Thornton's rustic "Winter Tranquility."
One better still, all of the six Super Profile books from Ben, each on the history and development of a classic car, would make a highly acceptable gift for someone whose tastes run to nostalgia.
