Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Sat among much newer metal is a shining example of what happens if you leave a truck in the hands of a careful operator for a considerable length of time. The V140 GBF tractor unit was bought new by Michael Shirley in 1999 and is the pride and joy of workshop fitter Craig Evans. “He used to work for my father [who runs Shirley’s Transport at nearby Cellarhead], where he had an old Volvo F10 that he drove and looked after. When he came to work here, he wanted something similar, as he also does a bit of driving for us occasionally. Despite the fact he’s a member of the garage staff, I guess he wanted a truck he could call his own,” he says.

The cab of the Volvo FH12 420 bears the original paintwork, as does the chassis.

“I think the only thing we’ve repainted is the fifth wheel and lead up ramps,” Shirley remarks.
