AThe speed limit for public service vehicles
was increased from 40 m.p.h. to 50 m.p.h. as from August 14 1966. The authorization was contained in The Motor Vehicles (Variations Of Speed Limits) (Amendment) Regulations 1966, No. 981, copies of which are obtainable from HM Stationery Office, price 8d.
