Mr. C. M. Vignoles, managing director of Shell-Mex and B.P., Ltd., is retiring on June 30 and is to be succeeded by Mr. J. E. H. Davies. Mr. Davies, who is 45, joined Anglo-Iranian Oil Company—now The British Petroleum Co., Ltd.—in 1946. Since 1956 he has been a general manager of that company. He was elected to the board of Shell-Mex and B.P., Ltd., in 1956 and to the board of B.P. Trading, Ltd., in 1960. Mr. Vignoles, who is 60, has been managing director since 1951. He was awarded the C.B.E. in 1957. Mr. Leslie Nelson has been appointec representative in the North of Englanc for the York Trailer Co., Ltd.

Mr. W. L. Drummond, former sale' director of Guy Motors, Ltd., has taken up a new post as managing director ot Lancia Concessionaires, Ltd., of Alperton. Middlesex. " Bill " Drummond, felt many years a well-known figure in the British heavy vehicle industry, joined the Guy company from Sentinel (Shrewsbury), Ltd., as sales manager in 1954, and was made a member of the Guy board as sales director in 1957. He received his early engineering training with Leyland Motors, Ltd.

Mr. Brian Minshull has been appointed general manager of Solex. Ltd., in succession to Mr. J. Hoggarth, who has resigned. Mr. Peter Moore has been appointed sales and service manager, taking over from Mr. Bill Graham, who has now taken up the position of group distribution manager for Soles and Zenith. Mr. Colin Dennell has been appointed to fill the newly created post of contracts manager.
