Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The Editor, THE COMMERCIAL MOTOR.

[3407] Sir,-Would you kindly forward your Tables of Operating Costs to me? I am a regular reader of your journal, which I enjoy very much. I am driving a Morris-Commercial, which I have had for three years. This tonner has given good service in this part of the world, although we have a large number of hills. My company has three Morris-Commercial wagons on the road, all doing well.

I would like you to give me a fair charge for a Morris-Commercial super-tonner hired by the week. The price ready for the road is about £430; petrol is 2s. per gallon, oil 7s. 6d. per gallon, licence £3 13s. 6d., insurance by Government £1 per year, number plates 2s. 6d. per year. The working week is of 48 hours and the mileage about 150 per week. A heavytraffic licence is £1 10s., driving licence 5s., insurance for wagon only about £12 (Government insurance only third-party risk), driver's wages £4 13s. 6d. per week.

W. G. PICKERING.
