Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AN order from British Road Services Ltd. for 200 Single-one platform semi-trailers designed to take a load of 16 tons has been received by Taskers of Andover (1932) Ltd.. This is said to be the first order placed by BRS for singleaxle units to run at 22 tons, Although designed as suitable for loads of 16 tons, the semi-trailers will have to be coupled to very light tractive units to be able to carry such weights. It is certain that they will have an unladen weight of more than 2 tons, and a tractive unit suitable for 22 tons g.t.w. would be at least 4 tons unladen.

Even so, with the nominal payload capacity of 16 tons the new design from Taskers is on a par with tandem-axle semi-trailers running at the old maximum of 24 tons g.t.w.
