Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) was established in the Second World War and now has 600 members, which between them control nine million square feet of warehouse and distribution centre space in 2,000 locations across the UK.

UKWA represents members' views to government departments and agencies, the European Commission and others. It protects the interests of member companies through its Conditions of Contract. Many companies in the warehousing and haulage sectors use the UKWA Conditions of Contract as the basis for their standard terms and conditions.

UKWA recently revised its Conditions of Contract and the new document covers a broad range of services such as freight forwarding, haulage and, of course, warehousing. It says it is the first time that a wide range of logistics offerings have been drawn into a single, standard document.

Chief executive Roger Williams says: "The logistics market is changing and that presents new challenges for the UKWA. We are constantly adding to the services we offer our members. For example, the Association has formed a partnership with The Resources Group to provide material handling equipment training for its members. It is known as UKWA Training, and courses include forklift truck, lorry-mounted crane, overhead gantry crane, HGV licence acquisition and driver assessments.

"A lot of our members are small and don't know how to access the funding that is available. We are well placed to help companies through that process," In addition, UKWA has joined forces with recruitment firm The B,JD Group to offer members a host of personnelrelated benefits.
