Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

BECAUSE of the unprecedented interest displayed in "The Commercial Motor" Fleet Management Conference in London next September, it has been decided to extend the closing date for entries in the students' essay contest. The closing date for entries will now be Friday, July 31.

Full details of the contest were published in the issue of February 21, last. An all-expenses-paid day at the conference is the prize for the winner and runner-up in each class.

If you were (a) under 21 years of age on May 30, last, or (b) between 21 and 25 years old on May 30, you can enter. The subject of the essay is "Road Transport, The Next Ten Years ". Entries must be between 900 and 1,100 words long, and should be sent to The Editor of "The Commercial Motor ".
