Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AA MACHINE that will produce all the standard grooves normally called for on outside and inside diameters, on inside and outside tapers and on component faces, has been designed and built by Trojan, Ltd., Purley Way, Croydon, Surrey.

When symmetrical grooving is required, it becomes necessary to have some form of indexing and when the operator has to stop the machine each time for this purpose, production must suffer. On the Trojan universal oil-grooving machine, once the bearing is mounted in its fixture, the grooving is carried out automatically, except that the operator regulates the feed-in of the cutting tool.

Indexing is so accurate that an internal and external spline assembly can be perfectly mated at all positions

as machine-finished. There is practically no limit to the type of oil grooving that can be performed on the machine: in fact, its full possibilities in other spheres have not yet been fully exploited.

A large bronze bush used in a

Centurion Tank demanded an unusual oil-grooving configuration which, without the machine, occupied 40 minutes to complete. The time taken on the Trojan machine is 2i minutes per bush.
