TRUCKERS CLUBS

• The United Kingdom Truckers Association has been formed to unite independent truckers clubs, with a view to "giving the truck driver a better voice."

The South West Truckers Club, the East Coast Truckers Club, the South Coast Truckers Club, the West Midlands Truckers Club, Truckers 100 Club and the Telford Truckers Club are the founding members and they are inviting other truckers clubs to become affiliated to the UKTA. The annual subscription for each club is .225.

In addition to the benefit of a united front, the UKTA is hoping to generate some more practical advantages such as discounts on meals at tnickstops and insurance.

Truckers clubs which want more information on the UKTA should contact its secretary, Brian Maydew, 3 Kennford Close, Rowley Regis, Warley, West Midlands B65 9SF.
