THE NEW Mitsubishi L30( panel van, now on self through the Colt dealei network, is claimed by thc company to be the first pane van on the British marke which has sliding doors fittec on both sides of the vehicle: as standard.

The four-speed gearbox iE controlled by a steering columr gearshift, and front suspension is independent via double wishbones and coil springs, while semi-elliptic leaf springs are featured at the rear.

As far as dimensions arE concerned, the L300 has an overall length of 4.0m (13ft 11/2in) and a wheelbase of 2.2m (7ft 21/2in). Internally, the load space is 2.3m (7ft 61/2in) long and 1.5m (5ft) wide with a height of 1.21m (4ft).

Colt claims that the new panel van has extensive rustproofing incorporated, which includes the use of synthetic resin nuts in preference to selftapping screws, to retain the body screws.

The braking system of the new Mitsubishi incorporates ventilated discs at the front and 218mm (8.6in) diameter drums at the rear. Power assistance is standard.

A recirculating ball steering system is used which gives a turning circle (between kerbs) of 8.8m (28ft 1Din).

The Mitsubishi L300 has a list price of £4540.
