Channel Crossing Report In Ministers Hands A DVANCE copies of the long-awaited rt report by British and French officials on the possibilities of a new English Channel. crossing reached London and Paris this week, and are now being studied by Ministers in both capitals. A meeting between Mr. Marples and M. Jacquet (French Minister of Public Works) will be arranged in the next few weeks so that the main conclusions of the report can be presented for public discussion.

The Anglo-French group, which has studied the rival tunnel-bridge proposals for 18 months, is understood to have reached firm conclusions about which project is the best.

Not Right Yet TTHERE is no Prospect of an immediate change to right-hand driving in this country.. In the Commons on Wednesday Mr. Edwin Wainwright (Lair. Dearne Valley) was told by Mr. Thomas Galbraith, Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Transport, that the question of the change was still being considered. To keep the cost to a minimum, such a change would require a lengthy preparatory period.
