HESTAIR Dennis has won an order to supply 70 vehicles for the Kowloon Motor Bus Company in Hong Kong.

The order includes 50 threeaxle 170-seat completely knocked down Dennis Dragon double deckers and 20 air-conditioned ckd Dennis Falcon HC single-deck coaches for the airport service.

All will have Duple IVIetsec bodies and will be powered by turbocharged Gardner engines driving through Voith automatic transmissions.

The Guildford-based manufacturer has also received an order for 12 Delta front-engined buses chassis from Africa.

It has also had some success in the contracted home market this year and is to build 40 Dominator double deck bus chassis for South Yorkshire PTE and 15 for Kingston-upon-Hull Transport. The SYPTE buses will have Alexander bodies and Rolls-Royce engines.
